Today we starting editing our film opening. We had to export all of our footage which took the whole of the first lesson as we had some difficulties. Then we had to put all of the footage on to google drive so we could access it from the macs upstairs. Then we could start to edit our footage on the macs; the first step was to import the footage in to final cut and then choose the best shots and discard the one we were not using. Then we used our shot list to put the shots in order and we used a video of the opening to ensure our timings were perfect.
We managed to get the first half of the opening finished in one lesson! We double checked everything was perfect and true to the opening of the film; next lesson we could start doing the titles.
